1. What attracted you to speaking at QA or the Highway this year?

I was intrigued by the conference name and the quality of the speakers. It has been sometime since I did not travel to USA as I completed my MBA from UMASS Lowell way back in 2000-2001. QA or the Highway gave me an opportunity to participate in this great gathering of testing evangelists and also visit a part of the USA I have not had a chance to travel earlier.

1. What attracted you to speaking again at QA or the Highway?

I really enjoyed attending and speaking at QA or the Highway (QAOTH) last year. The conference provided an opportunity for me to connect with my tester friends and to make some new ones. Quite honestly, the reason I submitted to QAOTH again was the attendees. They were incredibly supportive of and engaged in my talk on the use of visual communication in software testing last year – how could I not submit again!

1. What attracted you to speaking again at QA or the Highway?

I have a great time doing these talks.  This is my third one and they flow in a somewhat logical order.  As soon as I finished last year I was already starting to think about what I might want to share this year.  I enjoy sharing what I’ve learned each year and I’ve gotten a lot of great feedback from people and that fuels me to try to do more.

1. What attracted you to speaking at QA or the Highway this year?  

I was a speaker at QA or the Highway last year and enjoyed the experience.

1. What attracted you to speaking again at QA or the Highway?    

The conference has a lot of really enthusiastic testers. Sessions are always packed and a lot of great questions are asked.

1. What attracted you to speaking at QA or the Highway this year?

I saw a call for speakers on meetup.com.  The conference looked interesting and I felt I had a talk that could add value to the topic.

1. What attracted you to speaking at QA or the Highway this year?

To be honest, it’s the name of the conference.. When the call for 2016 sessions were announced, I saw the conference name from one of my LinkedIn contacts and I thought– What a cool name, maybe I should submit a proposal☺

1. What attracted you to speaking at QA or the Highway this year?

I enjoy speaking at regional conferences; it is wonderful to meet people who live in the same region. The opportunities for me to work with or for people I meet at regional conferences is higher than conferences further from home. Also frequently I am in a position where I am hiring people so it is helpful to meet people who are at least somewhat close to Chicago or perhaps willing to move to Chicago should I be in “hiring mode.”

1. What attracted you to speaking again at QA or the Highway?

To be honest, I was wracking my brain for a topic for this year, and ended up proposing a session I’m co-presenting with Rob Bowyer that we came up with for another conference later this year. Submitting it to QAOTH forces us to get working on it sooner, and makes it more real.

1. What attracted you to speaking at QA or the Highway this year?

We don’t have many QA focused conferences here in Columbus.  So as a QA professional, it’s a great opportunity for me to learn more about technologies, tools, techniques etc. that other companies are using. It’s good to know other organizations’ success and failure stories so as to not have to reinvent the wheel and learn from other professional’s experiences.
